This is the original, 30-foot long mono rig, and it's nearly unrivaled in it's ability to land trout. This rig has come through time and time again; it just flat out produces. Try one out, and you will be amazed just how effective this makes you on the water.
The tags have been left on for easier visibility. The butt-end is tied to allow a loop-to-loop connection to fly line or backing. A tippet ring is tied on at the end of the sighter to allow a connection to tippet of your choice. Both loop and tippet ring are secured with UV resin.
Simply connect the leader to your fly line or backing, attach a piece of tippet, and begin fishing!
Our "Standard" starts off with 20# Maxima Chameleon monofilament as the running line / butt and then tapered down via blood knots with alternating sections of Hi-Vis Chartreuse and Hi-Vis Red to act as the sighter.
The "Thin" begins off with a healthy section of 15# Maxima Chameleon monofilament as the running line / butt. From there it is tapered down via blood knots with tapered sections of Cortland Indicator mono, first white, and then bi-color to the tippet ring.
Our "Thinnest" starts off with a section of 10# Maxima Chameleon monofilament as the running line / butt. From there it is tapered down via blood knots with tapered sections of Cortland Indicator mono, first white, and then bi-color to the tippet ring.
These guys are great! Fantastic customer service and good products. These mono leaders for tight line nymphing are super good. Not only does it take out the guess work on configuration formula, they save you the time, and work super well. I w given a handful away to other fishermen, and for some of them, a game changer.

Great Mono Rig
Tried these out for the first time yesterday. Even on a 5wt had no problems casting a couple nymphs. I cut off all the tags except for 1 on the last hi vis connection to help with wind resistance and I never sink the sighter unless I’m letting it ride on the water. Highly recommend, great deal! Not even worth buying the materials myself and building my own at this price, these should last a long time if kept out of the sun when not in use!
